Wilderness Lodges & Lakeside Accommodation

The lodges and cottages at Isokenkäisten Klubi are built in harmony with the surrounding landscape using wood from our own forests and recycled materials, including timber from old barn buildings. Covered with traditional grey pine boards, the buildings reflect local building traditions and the authentic atmosphere of the region.

Guests can choose from private lakeside cottages, cosy hotel rooms and Aurora Huts offering a close connection to nature in every season. Many accommodation options include private saunas, fireplaces and direct access to the peaceful surroundings of the lake and forest.

For a truly memorable Arctic experience, the Aurora Huts offer the opportunity to stay directly by the lake and watch the northern sky from your bed.

Seven Star Smoke Sauna Experience

The award-winning Seven Star Smoke Sauna is one of the highlights of Isokenkäisten Klubi and an authentic part of Finnish culture. Heated slowly with dry birch logs using traditional methods, the sauna is known for its gentle warmth, soft steam and natural scent of wood.

Restaurant Klubi offers traditional Finnish and wild food dining experiences inspired by the flavours of Kuusamo and Lapland. Meals are prepared from scratch in the Klubi kitchen using local and seasonal ingredients such as fish from nearby lakes, wild berries, forest mushrooms and local cheeses.

Guests can enjoy traditional Finnish lunches, Lappish style dinners, special menus and authentic dining experiences.
