The award winning Seven Star Smoke Sauna at Isokenkäisten Klubi in Kuusamo, in the Ruka-Kuusamo region, offers an authentic Finnish sauna experience surrounded by peaceful wilderness and the clear waters of Lake Heikinjärvi. You can join our Smoke Sauna Evenings open to all guests or book a private sauna experience for your group.

Heated slowly with dry birch logs using traditional methods, the smoke sauna is known for its gentle warmth, soft steam and natural scent of wood. The atmosphere is deeply relaxing and reflects one of the most treasured traditions of Finnish culture.

The sauna experience includes genuine birch whisks, peat masks and a refreshing swim in the lake. During summer and autumn, guests can cool down from the pier and relax on the lakeside terrace. In winter, the experience includes a memorable dip through the ice while surrounded by snowy landscapes, stars and, on clear nights, the Northern Lights.

Our sauna master carefully prepares the sauna and traditional birch whisks to ensure an authentic experience. The smoke sauna accommodates up to 15 guests and is located near the main building of Isokenkäisten Klubi.

Isokenkäisten Klubi also organises open Smoke Sauna Evenings for individual visitors throughout the year. These mixed sauna evenings are open to both women and men and offer a relaxed and authentic way to experience traditional Finnish smoke sauna culture.

For private groups, the Seven Star Smoke Sauna can also be reserved as a private sauna experience, ideal for travel groups, celebrations and company events in a peaceful wilderness setting.

Wild food snacks are available by advance order during the sauna experience. The sauna facilities are licensed for alcoholic beverages.

The experience includes towels, sauna hats, traditional sauna whisks, peat masks and handmade soap. Guests are kindly asked to bring their own swimsuit, as the sauna is mixed for both women and men.

An unforgettable sauna experience, the cleanest water in the world form our own well, birch whisks (vasta) and peat mask.
