Wildernesshotel and cottages
The buildings at Isokenkäisten Klubi are covered with old, grey pine boards. The buildings are situated by Lake Heikinjärvi, a wilderness lake with clear water. Our buildings are constructed honouring the local building tradition and the delicate nature which surrounds them.
Our cottages and hotel rooms are comfortably decorated. The buildings adjust well to the wilderness, because they have been built using recycled materials: the life cycle of old barn walls continues in the buildings of Isokenkäisten Klubi. Our cottages are fully equipped, and all cottages have a fireplace and a private sauna. There area on-suite bathrooms in all our hotel rooms, and extra beds are also available.
The rooms are situated on the second floor in the main building, which includes eight double bedrooms.
Isokenkäisten Klubi has its own sewage treatment plant. Wilderness Hotel Kortteeri has a geothermal heating system which takes its energy from Lake Heikinjärvi.
There is a lakeshore sauna, rowboat and canoes, and a campfire site available for use of all our guests in summer. We also lend Nordic walking sticks to our guests. In winter there are kick sleds, forest skis and lumberjack’s snowshoes available for our guests.
Varsta is a separate and fully equipped cottage situated in the Isokenkäisten Klubi area. Varsta has 6 beds.
